The Set

Little Men filmed at several locations in Pickering Ontario, which is a half hour drive from Downtown Toronto.  Unfortunately, the main set on the Claremont Conservation Area has been torn down.  Motion International, Little Men's production and financing company, leased the rights to that land, and it became to expensive for them because with their insurance, they would have to have a security guard on the premises twenty hours a day.  The Claremont Conservation area was where the main estate was (the house, the school barn), and they town scenes that had the church and Mr. Gerson's shop where filmed there.  But there are pictures posted on-line here and on many other sites, and there are also video records of the set.

The town scenes with Dr. Pierce's office where filmed at the Pickering Village Museum, and the museum is still intact, and it will be for a long time...so if you're ever in the Toronto area, I promise you that it will be a very neat experience to visit that museum.
